Kristen Goss is the founder and managing partner of KWG Family Legal and Mediation Services, LLC. Her areas of focus include Divorce, Child Support, Timesharing, Adoption, Surrogacy, Dependency, Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Guardianship.
Ms. Goss was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she received her high school diploma from Fort Lauderdale Christian School. Thereafter, she earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Communication Studies and Political Science and a minor in Spanish from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, was a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, earned her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Litigation from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and earned her Series 6 and life insurance licenses, serving as a Financial Advisor for a New York-based investment firm for 2 years.
Ms. Goss is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar, licensed to practice law in Florida, is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, is collaboratively trained as a Family Law Attorney, and serves as a Certified Guardian ad Litem. Ms. Goss has mediated over 100 cases, and she has a high track record of helping families settle and resolve their issues. Ms. Goss’s financial background and stellar ability to remain empathetic and actively listening to her clients so that they feel heard and their needs met while remaining logical and not allowing the emotions of family matters to cloud her legal decision-making abilities allows her to thrive in her industry. Ms. Goss has also been nominated for Super Lawyers and the top 40 professionals under 40.
In addition to her professional career, Kristen enjoys giving back to the community. She formed a non-profit 501c3 organization in 2004 entitled, “Kids Demonstrating Worth, Inc.,” whose mission is mentoring foster youth in South Florida, interned on Capitol Hill advocating for positive policy changes for the betterment of all Americans, is a Board Member and Co-Chair of Membership for the Broward Women’s Alliance that provides scholarships to a deserving, diverse group of women desiring to further their education, serves as an Advisory Board Member and Chair of the Community Service Committee for the Broward Black Chamber of Commerce, holds the position as the President and family law attorney for BNI Profit Partners, is a member of the National Association of Divorce Professionals serving as the family law attorney, serves as Volunteer Coordinator for the Engagement Committee of Mission United that serves the Veterans in Broward County, and partners with Coast to Coast Legal Aid to represent Veterans who cannot afford an attorney just to name a few.
